BSU Energy Action Team
Who we are:
The Ball State Energy Action Team [BEAT] is a student-led group aimed at increasing awareness of ENERGY USE on campus and promoting ENERGY REDUCTION initiatives.
What we do:
BEAT aims to provide resources to help students and faculty learn about and reduce energy consumption on campus.
Why:
It helps the University honor its commitment to a more sustainable campus.
- President Gora signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment in 2007 to commiment to Ball State's movement towards carbon nuetrality.
- To honor this commitment, Ball State has designed and implemented the largest closed Geothermal system in the country, constructed LEED-certified buildings, and created the Ball State Energy Action Team [BEAT] to address student awareness.
- Look for upcoming events and new ways to save energy!
